Modern slavery is a serious and complex issue that affects millions of people around the world, and our company is committed to ensuring that our business operations and supply chain are free from any form of modern slavery. In line with our values of Authenticity, Excellence and Impact, we are committed to treating all of our employees, customers, and suppliers with respect and dignity, and we expect the same from our partners and stakeholders.
KaMetrics ™ is a small organisation with a knowledge-based product, our work is conducted in-house and therefore we have a high level of control over our delivered product. We anticipate the risk of modern slavery within our organisation is negligible.
To ensure that we are free from modern slavery, we have taken the following steps:
We will review our supply chain, including the expectation that our providers have a robust process appropriate to the size of their business.
We will train our employees in good practice to avoid modern slavery.
We work with our suppliers and colleagues to ensure that they are aware of and committed to upholding our values.
We encourage employees and suppliers to raise any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery within our business or supply chain, and we will investigate and address these reports promptly. If we have concerns we will work with the organisation to rectify the issues and remove the factors that encouraged modern slavery. If unable to resolve the issues we are prepared to terminate the contract. We will feed back to the person raising a concern.
We do not wish to be associated with or conduct work on behalf of organisations using modern slavery. Therefore:
Before entering into a business relationship with any organisation, we will review their modern slavery policy.
Ensure that all contracts with suppliers or other organisations include clauses that prohibit the use of modern slavery and require compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
We will report suspected incidents of modern slavery with agencies with our clients and expect to be informed of steps the client will take to investigate. We will work with the client so that they understand our expectations of them and are prepared to terminate a contract if the client is not prepared to eliminate modern slavery.
We would like to offer work opportunities to people seeking development, including student work experience or paid or unpaid internships. In order to protect ourselves and our students/interns we will offer opportunities through schemes run by organisations supporting career or education development.
The student/intern will have a defined task that is of at least equal benefit to them as to KaMetrics.
We expect placements to not exceed 25 hours either in a single block or distributed over a number of weeks.
There will be no penalty for non-completion of the task or placement term and the risk of non-completion will be absorbed by KaMetrics.
Feedback and references will be given to support the student/intern in their development and to assist them in securing employment.
